A re-envisioning of the classic 1995 miniatures game, Silver Tower has been well-received by old fans and new alike. I headed up the rules design and came up with the concept of the adventure book, inspired in part by board games such as Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective and Tales of the Arabian Nights, not to mention the Fighting Fantasy series of books. The notion of directing the game's narrative through the book and exploration cards felt like a novel concept in the (rather crowded) world of dungeon crawl board games, but it was quite a challenge to pull off!
This game was produced by Games Workshop during my time as a writer / designer there. I was one cog in an impressive machine, sharing the workload with an incredibly talented group of artists, designers, writers, managers and many more.
